Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional individual to undertake and complete the CYP IAPT CBT course at University of Exeter whilst providing High Intensity CBT interventions treatment to children, young people and their families. The post holder is responsible for providing comprehensive, holistic psycho-social assessment and interventions, which includes a CBT focus, for children and adolescents presenting with mental health difficulties, and their families/carers.

The post holders will work within YMCA Exeter as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This team delivers, under supervision, high quality, outcome-informed, focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people - particularly children and young people experiencing, moderate - high anxiety and depression. The training and service experience will equip the post holders with the necessary knowledge, attitude and capabilities to operate effectively within the wider service.

Trainees need a basic foundation in CBT as well as a minimum of two years FT experience in MH settings, a minimum of a two-year gap between other Health Education England funded courses e.g. CWPs, a degree or degree level qualification and a core profession listed here https://babcp.com/Accreditation/Provisional-Accreditation/Core-Professions or to meet the BABCP KSA/Core professional equivalency as outlined here https://babcp.com/Accreditation/Provisional-Accreditation/Knowledge-Skills-and-Attitudes
