Clyde Valley Community Church is an independent, evangelical church based in Motherwell Scotland. Motherwell is a town in North Lanarkshire, southeast of Glasgow, with a population of around 32,000. We are an invitational church with around 65 attendees across a wide age group. We work hard at making coming to church an easy and positive experience, providing practical teaching that can be applied to everyday lives, “Giving you something on a Sunday you can use on a Monday”. We have a talented worship band and enjoy a contemporary worship style from artists such as Bethel, Hillsong, Chris Tomlin, Elevation Worship. In addition to a Sunday, we have a variety of outreach ministries with many of our members actively involved in these ministries.
Motherwell was at one point known as the steel production capital of Scotland but the closure of the Ravenscraig plant in the 1990’s led to a steep rise in unemployment. The town has been regenerated over the last 10 years and along with much of the surrounding Clyde Valley areas has become a popular place to live with excellent transport links. However, there are many social needs within our town, and it is our desire as a church to reach into our community with the Good News of Jesus demonstrating his love and grace whenever we can.
We are looking to appoint a Pastor who wholeheartedly loves God and loves people. Someone who can provide sound spiritual leadership with a vision to develop CVCC and equip us to reach people effectively.
