The Diocesan Office in St Asaph and some home working
Full time, Permanent
Youth and Children
We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Children’s and Youth Officer to lead and develop our work with young people. We are looking for someone who has the energy and enthusiasm to inspire our young people with the joy and grace of knowing God in their lives.
As a diocese we have big hopes and dreams for the future, and we want you to be a part of that. We have responded positively to the challenges of the pandemic - now is the time to make bold plans for the future in partnership with our Mission Areas. The job is based in beautiful North and Mid Wales, and you will be part of a lively and committed diocesan team who will support and encourage you along the way.
Working as part of the Diocesan Team, you will be responsible for identifying and leading pioneering initiatives in our Mission Areas and providing support to develop sustainable youth projects which meet the needs of local communities. You will develop the strategic Children’s and Youth Plan which will have at its heart the ‘Growing Faith, Bringing Hope and Demonstrating Love’ Diocesan Strategy. You will help develop and support a network of paid and volunteer youth workers, providing mentoring and training to enable them to become independent leaders in their areas. You will initiate and oversee diocesan-wide projects that enable young people to grow in faith and to participate in a range of opportunities that nurture debate and exchange of ideas.
