Hours: 20-30 hours per week
Salary: £24-27k pa depending on skills and experience (full time salary equivalent based on 37.5 hours pw)

We are looking for a Youth Ministry Leader to head up our growing youth ministry for ages 11-18. Our current youth ministry leader stepped down in May and we are looking for someone to take the vision forward. We have about 80 young people overall attending Sunday mornings (11-14s), Sunday evenings (14-18s), or The Mix on Friday evenings (11-15). We are excited about the opportunity to look at different ways of discipling youth people in a post-pandemic world, both ‘in-person’ and online, within the wider vision and strategy of Christchurch. Our vision for young people in Welwyn Garden City is to go ‘Deeper and Wider’, to dig deep roots in their faith, and to have a wide impact on our town.

Through the pandemic lockdowns we’ve developed our online services and gatherings. We now livestream our services and currently provide additional resources for children and young people. We have re-opened our buildings for services including groups for children & youth with limited numbers.
