Youth and Children
Are you passionate about seeing young people coming to faith in Jesus Christ and growing as disciples?
Does teenage involvement in knife crime break your heart?
Can you inspire faith in those around you, and build and train teams?
Can you work among people from different Christian traditions, and alongside secular partners, to provide safe spaces and engaging activities for young people?
We're seeking a dynamic and experienced youth worker to help us develop and implement a cohesive youth work strategy across our diverse parish, that nurtures the faith of those currently within our church family and reaches out to those beyond our doors.
Could that be you?

Caversham Thameside and Mapledurham is a parish of three churches, St Peter's, St John's and St Margaret's, in North Reading (Oxford Diocese). There is one PCC. The Ministry Team currently consists of Revd Mike Smith (Rector), Revd Penny Cuthbert (Associate Vicar), Revd Andy Storch (Curate), Anthony Wisdom and Phil Blackburn (LLMs) and Anna Clarke (Children and Families Outreach Worker). Each church has it's own church leadership team. We are a large and diverse parish - with areas of both affluence and poverty. Our church families are also diverse in terms of background and churchmanship, but we are united in a desire to serve Jesus Christ and go wherever he leads us. Our vision statement is 'Becoming a Christlike Community' - we want to be more like Jesus, and we want our wider community to follow and reflect him, too.
