St Paul’s, Wimbledon Parkside, is a friendly inclusive and liberal church in an area with a diverse demographic. We are seeking a Youth and Children’s Worker who will support and help grow our provision for children, youth and families.
You will work with our clergy, administrative and volunteer teams to support, strengthen and renew existing work within the church and to develop further outreach.The latter will include exploring local community needs, and planning, developing and leading new groups and activities in our community centre.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and team building skills with proactive organisational abilities and previous experience working with children.You will be up to date with children’s safeguarding issues and be able to demonstrate sensitivity and maintain confidentiality.You would also be expected to be a committed Christian with an interest in faith development and learning.
Working hours and remuneration:
Hours in the range of 16-22.5 per week; pay range between £12.50 -15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.Holiday pro rata equivalent to four weeks’ plus statutory bank holidays.
