Job Description

The Beacon Church is a lively, informal church on the 3 county borders of Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire, serving Farnborough, Camberley, Frimley, Yateley, Sandhurst and beyond. We now have around 260 people attending on Sunday mornings at our 10.30am service.


Led by Adrian Holloway, we’ve grown by about 100 people on a typical Sunday since Covid. We meet at The Village Hotel in Farnborough, where we have several first time visitors every week.


We’re in a sphere of churches called Commission, which is part of a family of about 2,500 churches worldwide called Newfrontiers. We are also affiliated to the Evangelical Alliance.

Responsibilities and duties:


You’ll be responsible for overseeing, but not necessarily leading ministries such as


Midweek Small Groups

Children’s Ministry


Baby Thanksgivings

Alpha etc . . .


You’ll have opportunity to shape ministries like these. You’ll also have opportunity to get involved in other parts of church life, and this will depend upon your gifting and experience. You’ll travel to equipping events within Commission, Newfrontiers and beyond. You’ll join our team based in our building, The Beacon Centre in Berkshire Road, Camberley, Surrey, GU15 4DG.


Salary: Your salary for this full-time job will depend upon your experience, but it will reflect the very high cost of living in the South East of England. On top of your salary, The Beacon Church will pay you an additional pension payment each month. The package also includes life insurance.


Other: Official hours are 37.5 hours a week, with a holiday allowance of 25 days a year plus bank holidays. This is a permanent position and has a DBS requirement. There is also a genuine occupational requirement that the post-holder is a Christian, as permitted under the Equality Act of 2010.
