At City on a Hill, we are here to love God, love people and make disciples. The Executive Pastor is a key leadership role at City on a Hill as this individual will oversee the day to day running of the church on behalf of the Lead Pastor. The role requires someone who has experience of leading and thrives in a pioneering environment, able to lead others with courage, conviction and empathy while managing multiple priorities. The Executive Pastor will oversee the organisational operations and strategic initiatives whilst supporting the Lead Pastor in their vision and calling.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assisting, advising and supporting the Lead Pastor to shape, develop and implement the fulfilment of the church vision
· In partnership with the Lead Pastor, guide and support the staff and the day to day running of the church
· Helping staff, ministries and Communities align in relation to:
o the church vision, values, priorities and other strategic matters
o their working collaboratively and individually
· Providing support and guidance to church staff to maximise their impact, and the overall effectiveness of their ministry and the wider church
· Ensuring all governance matters are handled diligently
City on a Hill is a contemporary church in Edinburgh led by Pastor Peter Anderson. Our journey began in 1998 in a flat in the Haymarket area and we are now home to hundreds of people from different age groups, cultures and backgrounds.
