Job Description

Development & Collaboration Officer

The post-holder will work with the Trustees and Centre Staff to develop and support collaboration  services:-

• To network with key local contacts and represent the organisation at networking events both face to face and on-line.

• To be aware of and involved in local/national initiatives related to the organisation. In particular the ongoing development of Bereavement Pathways in N Wales.

• To strategically target and build partnerships in order to earn the trust to enable the provision of appropriate services to:

-churches and other faith groups [including talks and presentations 

-meet with individuals and hard to reach communities 

• To promote and build partnerships and collaborate with local health professionals, councils, the voluntary sector and other external stakeholders and agencies / organisations e.g. undertakers.

• Continue to develop engagement with and deliver presentations to bereavement midwives, GPs and with other  NHS services e.g. Schools of nursing & midwifery and perinatal groups.

• To develop and regularly  participate in  communicating with supporters, stakeholders , donors and  partners.

• To be responsible for marketing and promoting the charity in the community including working with social media manager and in the development of appropriate literature in English Welsh and other languages as necessary and other tools for information and monitoring.

Team Working and Responsibilities

• Be managed by and report to trustees and Centre Manager to ensure appropriate communication and line management supervision is maintained.

• Be flexible with working hours and willing to travel across North Wales.

• Attend external meetings and networks as appropriate and actively participate in national / regional bereavement groups / forums .

• Attend internal meetings as necessary [eg team / trustees/ supporters] .

• Understand that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and be prepared to report concerns as they arise in line with Y BONT policies and procedures.

• Explore opportunities for community fundraising events and work with the Trustees and Centre staff as required in order to develop them.

• Provide support work in the development and implementation of Bereavement Pathways with BAMER and other hard to reach communities as necessary

• Undertake any tasks that may lie within the scope of the post, to ensure the timely and effective delivery   of support services to clients and other agencies.

• Fluency in Welsh would be helpful but is not a necessary condition of this post.

Hours: Part Time Post- 20/22 hrs a week , Home & Office based

Salary: £14 / hr  £29,000  FTE pa pro-rata

Start Date: Immediate - subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS check & references
