We are looking for a Team Leader who demonstrates an exciting hope-filled love of Jesus, whose desire is to share it with children and young people, and to enable them to see how much they are loved and to walk with them on their journey of faith.
They will be someone who is prepared to step out and try new ideas, whilst empowering and motivating others in their roles.
We want someone who is an enthusiastic, strategic and faith-filled person, who can nourish the faith of our existing children and young people, encourage and develop our team leaders and spearhead new outreach initiatives in our local community.
Children, young people and families are a valued part of our church community and engage through child friendly Explore services, Youth Led Praise services, Messy Church, Toddler Group, Mummy and Me, Youth Club, Youth Alpha, Pre-school and 3 primary schools.
The EGTL will have an important role in the church leadership team, responsible for coordinating our mission to children, young people, schools and their families.
They will become a familiar face in the church, representing children, families and young people and contributing to staff meetings with the aim of integrating the emerging generations into the ministry and mission of the whole life of the church.

St Matthias is a large Anglican church, situated near Torquay town centre, in beautiful South Devon. The Church welcomes everyone, from the very youngest babies to great-grandparents, and everyone in between, with a broad range of services and ministries. It is very much a family church and a thriving community with a beautiful building, with an active pre-school and strong links to our local primary schools.
