Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Assistant Branch Manager to help lead our Bromley team. This role is hands-on, supporting the Branch Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent service, and keeping things running smoothly. You’ll be working both in the kitchen and front of house, preparing takeaway dishes, serving customers, and stepping up to lead shifts when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Support – Assist in running the day-to-day operations of the takeaway, ensuring smooth service and efficiency.
  • Kitchen & Service Leadership – Work shifts preparing food and serving customers, leading by example with energy and commitment.
  • Team Supervision – Support staff during busy periods, train new hires, and step up to lead shifts when the Branch Manager is unavailable.
  • Customer Experience – Maintain high service standards, handle customer inquiries, and resolve any issues professionally.
  • Stock & Inventory – Assist in managing stock levels, placing orders, and ensuring proper inventory rotation.
  • Health & Safety Compliance – Ensure all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations are met at all times.
  • Scheduling & Covering Absences – Help manage shift rotas and be flexible to step in when team members are absent.
  • Upholding Sweet Jerk’s Culture – Embody and promote our HEART values, ensuring a positive, team-focused environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: At least 6 months to 1 year in a team leadership or supervisory role within hospitality, quick-service restaurants, or takeaway environments.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Customer Focus: Passion for delivering top-tier customer service.
  • Hands-On Approach: Willingness to work in both kitchen and front-of-house operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Quick thinking and ability to resolve challenges during service.
  • Reliability & Flexibility: Available to work evenings, weekends, and peak periods as required.
  • Organisation & Communication: Strong ability to coordinate a team and liaise effectively with management.
