Director of Mission Resources

Our vision is to see a new generation of children and young people have a vibrant, personal faith in Jesus. Our Priority is the 95% of children and young people who do not attend church.

Scripture Union is a national mission movement, the aims of which are to create opportunities for children and young people to explore the Bible, respond to Jesus and grow in faith. We are currently seeking a Director of Mission Resources to join our leadership team in a newly designed role. This involves leading, inspiring and building the Mission Resources department, as well as strategically developing and overseeing innovative mission resources. This role will require collaboration with partners to create and distribute high quality content, which is effective at all stages of our Revealing Jesus framework.

The successful candidate will:

• Establish and develop strategically aligned and innovative mission resources, tools and content capable of being used, adopted and replicated throughout England and Wales.
• Oversee the effective pricing, promotion, marketing and distribution of Mission Resources in relationship with other departments to maximise the reach and mission potential of SU.
• Design and develop appropriate income-generation models and approaches for the tools and products produced and distributed , and to contribute to the general operation of the department and wider organisation.
• Provide empowering line management support to the Mission Resource team, enabling them to fulfil the requirements of their role and to add value and effectiveness to their work by creating a strong team ethos between teams and SU directorates.
• Work effectively across departments with other staff teams, externally with Christian charities and denominations, key external innovators, influencers and contractors to ensure that ideas and concepts can be identified developed, piloted and distributed successfully.
• Provide direction on new content development with regard to questions of theological and biblical accuracy and application.

* This role is based at our National Offices, with the opportunity for hybrid working in line with our hybrid working policy.  There would be an expectation of 2 days a week working from Trinity House.

Salary:  Full-time £60,000 - £65,000 per annum
