Church Operations Manager

Role information:

Connect Church Cornwall are looking to appoint to the new role of Church Operations Manager and are looking for the right person to come and join our team, based in Wadebridge, North Cornwall.

This role supports the Minister and the Leadership team by running the day-to-day operations of the Church. This is a broad and varied role which covers Financial Management, Buildings and Facilities, Governance and Policy, Technology, HR, and Church Administration.

The role needs someone with a proven record of effective financial management, with the ability to produce budgets, cashflow statements and financial reports.  As well as the ability to problem solve and organise effectively, they should possess strong administration skills. They should also work well as part of a team and have excellent communication skills in order to build relationships with the congregation, and the wider community. An awareness of the reporting requirements of the Charity Commission, Employment Law and Data Protection would also be advantageous.

Salary: £28 – 30K PA plus benefits. 

Hours:

The role is 35 hours per week. 

Recruitment and Selection process:

Online Interviews are scheduled for 21/05/25, if successful at this stage the applicant will be asked to come for an in-person interview with the opportunity to meet members of the leadership team, and be shown around the church/area. This planned for 02/06/25.

Due to the nature of this role, we believe that this post is subject to an occupational requirement that the holder be a practicing Christian under Part 1 of schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010. It is our preference that the successful candidate comes into partnership with the Church.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
