We are a Mission Partnership of 4 churches, with active children and families work in two of them, which we want to develop and expand.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team, alongside a newly appointed minister.
Description of Job
● Support and develop the overall vision of the Mission Partnership in relation to Children and Families’ work, currently in relation to Ipswich Road and Wroxham.
● Continue to grow and encourage existing work with children and families.
● Lead regular Collective Worship in the local Primary Schools and develop relationships with the schools and their children and families
● Build and maintain effective relationships with the young families with which the Church comes into contact and to provide a pastoral ear for all connected families.
● Plan (with others) and lead Messy Church, to work with leaders to plan and deliver JAM (‘Jesus and Me’) sessions at Wroxham together with supporting and/or leading other activities.
● Develop a plan for activities during the school holidays
● Plan intergenerational social activities and explore opportunities for older children
● Help lead All Age Worship occasionally on Sunday morning
● Have regular interaction with, co-ordination of, and support for the volunteers
● Provide the publicity and promotion of all activities through email, social media and other media
● Provide regular updates in the newsletters and Church Meetings
● Participate in the Mission Partnership Leadership team
● Look at the provision of children’s work in the communities with a view to developing new groups
● Participate in some Sunday morning worship and other aspects of church life
● Network with other churches, schools and other voluntary organisations or develop new activities
● Support children and families’ work in the other churches in the Mission Partnership as requested from the Mission Partnership Leadership Team
