About Us

The Lodge Trust is a Christian organisation based in the beautiful countryside of Rutland, providing residential care and day services for adults with learning disabilities. Our 20-acre site includes a country park, café and leisure facilities — all designed to create a vibrant, holistic and supportive environment.

We are now seeking a Registered Manager Designate to join our dedicated team during an exciting period of planned leadership transition. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow into the Registered Manager position, as our current RM prepares to step into the CEO role in 2026.

Your Role

As Registered Manager Designate, you will work alongside our current RM and leadership team to:

• Deliver outstanding, person-centred care for our residents and day service users.
• Lead and develop a committed staff team, ensuring compliance with CQC and best practice standards.
• Uphold and promote our Christian ethos throughout our residential services.
• Ensure robust safeguarding, quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.

About You

You’ll be an experienced and committed care professional with a heart for person-centred support, a passion for leadership and a deep understanding of the needs of adults with learning disabilities.

Essential:

• Must be eligible to be registered with the Care Quality Commission as a Registered Manager, in line with Regulation 7 requirements.
• Experience as a Registered Manager in a residential care setting for adults with LD.
• Minimum four years’ experience in LD services, with at least three in a leadership/management role.
• Level 5 Diploma (or equivalent) in Leadership and Management in Health & Social Care.
• Skilled in team leadership, staff recruitment, rota planning and performance management.
• Strong understanding of CQC requirements and ability to maintain compliance.
• Experience managing safeguarding responsibilities and acting as Safeguarding Lead.
• Confident with care planning, risk assessments, medication protocols and health & safety compliance.
• Financial awareness and budget management experience.
• Proficient IT skills for documentation, audit and internal communication.
• Practising Christian* — able to lead devotions, apply biblical principles and model our ethos in daily practice.
