God has been good to us at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Thame. We are at an exciting time where we are asking, “What next?”
We have people, we have resource, we have gifting, we have the favor of our town, and we have ideas. What is missing is you.
You are someone who loves making disciples who make disciples. You are someone who has helped churches thrive through growth stages and can bring that wisdom, encouragement and insight to us.
You are prayerful and passionate about God and his people. You can develop plans that turn big ideas into reality. You are a completer finisher, an encourager, a teacher and someone who loves growing teams and releasing people to do great things for God. You love teaching the Bible in accessible ways, you can add depth, are not overwhelmed by admin or detail and you love making a good plan!
Cornerstone is a broad evangelical church and is part of the Baptist Union of Great Britain. We would ideally be seeking to appoint a BUGB accredited Minister or someone open to seeking accreditation. This role is advertised on the settlement list in the CBA for BUGB ministers so please do find us there if you are able.
The role follows the BUGB guidance for a stipend which for 2025 is set at £29,575. The package also includes a Manse rented in the local area and a 10% pension contribution.
For ministers outside of the BUGB, or to simply find out more please email Ulrike at secretary@cornerstonethame.org.uk expressing your interest in the role with an attached CV and we will get in touch.
Cornerstone Baptist Church is a friendly, lively, all-age church. We are a broad evangelical church of 95 members and a regular Sunday congregation of 160-175. We are members of the BUGB and are a part of the Central Baptist Association.
The church is at an exciting stage. We have so many opportunities for ministry whether working with Ukrainian refugees, planting new expressions of worship, multiplying services, pioneering new ventures or even seeking our own place to call home.
Our church website is www.cornerstonethame.org.uk
Do email Ulrike at secretary@cornerstonethame.org.uk to get in touch, ask any questions or to apply for our Co-Pastor role.
