We’re looking for an experienced pioneer-leader and disciple-maker to love, inspire, equip and multiply followers of Jesus amongst our 0-18s. As Pastor for Emerging Generations you’ll take responsibility for leading vision, growing teams and turning vision into reality for the under 18s and their families, as part of the disciple making vision for our whole church.
We’re acutely aware of the challenges of contemporary culture for young people. We long for them to grow as confident, joyous, and rooted followers of Jesus, knowing God and equipped to play their full part in his rich purposes in the world, wherever he calls them. Christian community is vital. So we’re looking for someone who will not only cultivate our ministry and mission amongst the under-18s, but who will integrate this with our life as a whole church, especially helping parents spiritually nurture the young people in their homes.
We’re on the nursery slopes with this vision and this new role in our Senior Leadership Team is a next step towards realising it. So this is a strategic, pastoral and spiritual appointment to lead the way on.
Engaging with children and young people must be life-giving for you. You’ll need to pitch in and lead by example, as well as leading a way on by growing and releasing the gifts of others. You’ll need to be gripped by the potential of the emerging generations; a creative, Spirit-led thinker/problem solver who has a deep grasp of the challenges and opportunities around discipling the under-18s in today’s world. We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate a skilled commitment to leading through building teams - our pathway to growing our ministry and mission.

This is a full-time, permanent role with an annual salary of £37k - £42k, depending on experience.
