Job Description

JOB TITLE: Charity Administrator
MAIN RESPONSIBILITY: Oversee and manage MJK administration
REPORTING TO: MJK CEO
OFFICE BASE: Oldham, Manchester
JOB TYPE: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
SALARY: Dependent on experience
START DATE: ASAP


Outline
Our vision is to make Jesus known to as many people possible through online outreach videos, and social media. We already have a great foundation to build on and are looking for a driven and skilled individual to join our team and effectively handle the administration of our charity.
Our online videos are reaching hundreds of thousands each month, with tens of thousands of engagements and many coming to Christ. This area of our work is rapidly expanding. We also moved to our new HQ this year, so it is an exciting time to join a growing ministry as we
expand and open a youth cafe, and arts centre in central Oldham.
We have also developed cutting edge discipleship resources ‘The Faith Gang’ and ‘iTruth App’ to disciple those we reach, as well as our outreach band 'Crossfya'

Administration
General administration of the Charity
Keep minutes of weekly MJK team meetings
Answer the phone and deal with messages
Ensure the smooth running of the MJK HQ with IT systems, supplies etc
Maintain address book, church, and donor databases (e.g., ChurchSuite and Mailchimp)
Keep records of members of MJK and notify of AGM
Prepare and run the annual AGM
Prepare and send out thank you letters to donors
Prepare bi-monthly letters and mailout to supporters
Prepare fortnightly emails to supporters
Liaise with the CEO on any maintenance issues with MJK HQ
Updating and ensuring compliance with all MJK policies
Overseeing booking and events for Crossfya
Develop and implement MJK’s policies in all areas of work
Ensure that MJK’s Health and Safety requirements are understood and complied with

Finance
Overseeing payments for rent, utilities and bills at HQ
Record all income accurately and promptly on CRM system
Ensure all income is banked and processed quickly and efficiently
Weekly report of new income received
Check invoices against orders
Carry out a weekly reconciliation with the finance team and bank accounts
Prepare annual budget with finance team
Produce annual accounts alongside finance team
Oversee and maintain proper records for Gift Aid claims submitted monthly (via ChurchSuite)
Make Annual return to Charity Commission and Companies House
Complete Fund-raising applications
Ensuring reports are sent to fund-raising trusts in a timely and appropriate manner

General
Attend internal and external training courses as appropriate. Staff are expected to keep
themselves informed on current issues relating to their work
Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required
The post will be subject to the standard 6 month probation period
The MJK Administrator will be expected to have Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
clearance
You will have exceptional literacy and interpersonal skills, be comfortable in dealing with
significant projects and small issues with equal effectiveness. You will be self-motivated and be able to take the initiative on projects while also being delegated specific tasks.
This is a wide and varied role and so being adaptable, flexible, positive, a great team player,
and calm under pressure are essential qualities. The successful applicant will be comfortable
dealing with staff and members of the public

• It is an occupational requirement that the successful candidate is a born again Christian and
is in full agreement with the MJK statement of faith
