Job Description

ABOUT CRiBS:

Christian Resources in Bexley Schools (CRiBS) is a thriving Christian charity which, in normal circumstances, reaches over 17,000 young people in Bexley schools every year. It helps to deliver the Christian element of Religious Education (RE) in the curriculum in an inspired, creative and relevant way and provides intervention programmes for young people who need additional support.

THE ROLE:

The purpose of this role is to lead on the development, implementation and delivery of the CRiBS fundraising Strategy. To build and embed strong, lucrative relationships with donors, funders and supporters to secure the income to deliver the CRiBS strategy.

 THE PERSON:

Will have a good understanding of the charity sector. Will be an experienced and confident fundraiser with a successful track record of generating income. Will hold a qualification or have had relevant training. Will have outstanding interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills. Will have the ability to write compelling content for a range of audiences.

They will be a committed Christian, with a whole-hearted commitment to CRiBS’ values and ethos.

The role will include:

  1. Manage a portfolio of existing donors and develop relationships through proactive engagement and efficient reporting.
  2. Collate any preliminary research and gather necessary internal input and data to support an outcomes and impact approach to our programmes.
  3. Any additional administrative support in relation to fundraising.
  4. Support fundraising from a wide range of sources including individuals, churches, trusts and foundations, community fundraising, businesses etc.
  5. Seek out new fundraising opportunities, relationships and networks
  6. Build relationships with major donors or companies and make presentations
  7. Raise awareness of the organisation’s work
  8. Ensure that the organisation adheres to the Fundraising Regulator’s Codes of Conduct and keeps up to date with any changes.
  9. Keep up to date with trends in funding in charity sector, and actively seek opportunities for new funding streams for CRiBS

 This is a 14 hours per week (flexible) paid position with a permanent contract. Salary range circa £23,000 - £24,000 35 hour week (pro-rata)

 There is an Occupational Requirement (OR) that the person filling this role is a practising Christian as you will be required to appropriately represent CRiBS and its Christian ethos. Your active Christian faith will enable you to demonstrate our Christian ethos and will see you working closely with local Christians, churches, schools and grant-making bodies to generate awareness of CRiBS and its range of programmes.
