An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join the team at Haven Church in Gorran Haven as a trainee Youth and Children’s worker through the training of SWYM (South West Youth Ministries) for 12 months beginning in September 2025. Haven Church is set in a small Cornish fishing village 11 miles from St Austell. Haven Church is numerically small in number, but it has a faithful congregation and has the potential for the youth work to grow. The church is also part of the FIEC churches. We are looking for an individual to become a part of the Church family at Haven Church and to help to grow the existing Youth and Children’s work, as well as being part of the team in setting up new initiatives for Young people aged 0-18 years and their families. Our Ministry Trainee post is a 1 year opportunity to receive training, develop gifts in ministry, and grow in character through service in the local church. It runs from September to August and is open to men and women of any age. It is a volunteer role of 30-35 hours per week. There is financial support available to enable you to make the most of training. There is no need to raise your own funds.
