This role oversees Wycliffe’s ministry with 8-13s, helping them explore faith in Jesus together and planning for successful transition from children’s ministry into youth ministry. This is about creating a fun, welcoming and safe space to belong, learning to be church together and grow in confidence to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with their friends.   

Mitcham Lane Baptist Church is seeking a passionate Youth and Community Worker to pioneer and develop faith-based youth work with 11–18s in Furzedown, South London. This exciting role combines outreach, discipleship and community engagement, offering the opportunity to shape vibrant, inclusive youth programmes that support young people’s emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing and help them explore the Christian faith. We are looking for someone passionate about reaching young people not currently in church with the gospel, and who is looking to begin a career in church youth work. This post is designed for someone new to paid youth work, with high quality training opportunities and supportive environments to learn in.
