Methodist Chapel Aid Ltd is a small, successful, bank operating in the ethical financial services marketplace, with approximately £36 million of assets. It was established to provide loans to Christian churches and associated organisations at the lowest practicable rate of interest. It also takes deposits and holds a portfolio of investments with a market value of £17 million.   The Company is seeking to appoint a non-executive director in anticipation of a planned retirement. The appointment is intended to be for an initial term of three years, and for a maximum period of nine years.   It is hoped that applicants will have expertise and experience in investment management and / or legal services. Experience of Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) and / or Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) compliance would be an advantage but not essential.
