The Church now meeting at Queensway Chapel, Melksham started in 1924. It was originally known as The Christian Assembly and met in rented premises from 1924 until the Chapel was opened officially on 8th April 1967. In 2004 the church built and funded a Nursery for the local community and acquired the Queensway Hall building opposite so that the increasing activities could be catered for.
At Queensway, we are a community of ordinary, diverse people: old and young, families and single, married and divorced. We don’t claim to be any better than others, but we have found a foundation for our lives worth sharing and building on.
We believe God loves each one of us, and invites us to become part of his family. We are all broken in one way or another but God has made a way for us to ‘come home’, back to Himself, where we can find healing for our brokenness and a new sense of belonging. The foundation for this life is found in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, the Son of God.
Queensway seeks to be ‘family’ for you: a family for those working through life’s challenges and for those who have discovered that real life begins as we know and follow Jesus. Come and explore life with us.
