The Hinckley Methodist Circuit is situated in south-west Leicestershire, bounded by the M1 in the east and the M69 in the south. It is in a post-industrial area where the major employment used to be in the hosiery and shoe industry but those factories have almost all disappeared. The community has sought to redefine itself with new developments but there are areas of deprivation and poverty.
The circuit supports and oversees the work and mission of nine local Methodist churches. Our churches are in town, suburban and village communities. You can find a variety of worship styles and times of worship – from contemporary to traditional, from quiet to lively.
The Circuit is staffed by two full time and one part time presbyters, who are aided by four Local Lay Pastors, and ten active Local Preachers, supported by a team of Circuit Stewards and administrative staff.
