The Yorkshire Baptist Association is seeking a part-time Safeguarding Lead to work within our Team. This role with its focus on excellence in safeguarding will make a significant contribution to our vision of ‘making disciples by multiplying healthy churches across Yorkshire’. This is a new role; previously safeguarding has come under the oversight of our Regional Team Leader with support from the BUGB National Team. The decision to appoint a safeguarding specialist comes in response to an increasing number of requests for support from our member churches and ministers, alongside a recognition of the importance of good safeguarding practises in our shared life together. The person appointed will lead the Association on matters relating to the protection and safeguarding of children, young people and adults at risk.
