Rowheath Pavilion Church

Who we are

Rowheath Pavilion Church Loving God - Loving People

Rowheath Pavilion Church is a lively and welcoming church. It started life as a house church in 1982 and now inhabits and through its charity manages Rowheath Pavilion, a sports and community centre in Bournville, Birmingham.

We are a very approachable church that loves God and is keen to share His love. Our unique role in Rowheath Pavilion presents remarkable opportunities to serve the local community and share the good news of Jesus across Bournville.

We hold to mainstream evangelical beliefs, while embracing people from a breadth of Christian traditions. We believe that this is a moment of opportunity for our church to grow both in our depth of relationship with God and numerically. The church community, including children, currently numbers around 150 people.

Rowheath Pavilion

Rowheath Pavilion is a thriving community and sports centre, with as many as 4,000 local people coming through its doors each week. It was established by the Cadbury family in 1924 to provide recreation for their workers. It includes playing fields for football and running, modern changing rooms, a range of functions and events rooms, café and bar, and a very active calendar of weekly activities. The church plays a significant role in the governance of Rowheath Pavilion, which has a strong Christian ethos, and both bodies have linked objectives to benefit a wide spectrum of the community and to promote the gospel.
