Our Culture and Values

Our CIC was founded on and motivated by Christian faith but our vision was and is to serve all local people with learning disabilities and autism regardless of their faith or beliefs, to benefit Newham’s diverse multi-faith and multi-cultural community. We are a values based organisation which means that our values guide and underpin all of our decision making and everything that we do. We are also a neurodivergent affirming organisation which means that we believe people’s differences do not need to be ‘fixed’ but rather understood, supported and positively validated. Our values spell LIGHT:

Love; caring for each other

Integrity; doing what we believe in

Gentleness; building trust

High expectations: seeing everyone achieve

Time; not hurrying
