Woodside Baptist Church

Woodside Baptist Church is a welcoming community of around 200 people from many walks of life and different cultural backgrounds, united in worshipping God together. We are an informal, contemporary Baptist church with a strong sense of warmth and belonging, where people quickly feel accepted and at home. Many members have been part of the church for decades, alongside others who have joined more recently, creating a rich and intergenerational community. 

God has called us to be a praying and worshipping community, committed to taking Christ into all the world and seeking to encourage a response of committed discipleship. This vision is expressed through five core values: prayer, worship, community life, mission to the local community and beyond, and discipleship. 

We are active in our local area, running a wide range of activities throughout the week that engage people of all ages and backgrounds. As a Baptist church, we place a strong emphasis on members actively participating in and leading church life. 

Youth work is a vital part of our church, with an established and committed group of young people who are already deeply engaged. We believe that young people are not just the church of tomorrow but the church of today, and we are privileged to walk alongside them as they grow in faith, learn from one another, and play a full and active role in the life of the church.

We are looking for an experienced and relational Youth Worker to lead and grow our work with young people. This is an opportunity to invest in an already strong and committed group of young people, helping them deepen their faith, build meaningful relationships, and play a full part in the life of the church.   This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about discipleship, enjoys building relationships, and is able to work with initiative while collaborating closely with church leadership. You will also play a key role in supporting and developing a team of volunteers who help deliver this work.   If you are motivated by seeing young people grow in faith, confident working in a relational and dynamic environment, and excited by the opportunity to shape and evolve youth work within a supportive church community, we would love to hear from you.
