St Philip’s is a Church of England church at the heart of the West Howe housing estate in Bournemouth, where we have been serving and sharing the love of Jesus with the local community since 1953.

We are a welcoming, charismatic evangelical church with a strong commitment to community and to people of all ages and backgrounds. We seek to share the love of Jesus in all that we do, making disciples and encouraging people to discover faith, grow in their relationship with God and flourish at every age and stage of life.

As a church, we are looking to grow younger and are committed to investing in our future by building stronger connections with children and families across the estate. This role is an important part of that investment, helping us to develop relationships, create opportunities to engage with local families and share the love of Jesus with a new generation.

Are you passionate about helping children and families discover the love of Jesus? Do you have the creativity, vision and heart to build meaningful relationships in a local community?  St Philip’s has been at the heart of West Howe for over 70 years. We’re a welcoming church with a strong commitment to children and families, and a passion for seeing people discover faith, find community and grow together. We believe God is already at work here, and we’re looking for a Spirit‑led, relational and enthusiastic Children & Families Outreach Worker to help us pioneer and grow this vital ministry.  With two local schools and strong community connections, there’s real scope to build new relationships and create welcoming spaces where children and families can grow in faith and feel at home.
