The Leicester West Methodist Circuit extend our deep appreciation to all of those within our community of Leicester and Leicestershire who have worked so hard to keep the public safe, and to offer care and service to the most vulnerable. Over this COVID-19 season, the church has continued to meet, virtually, on Facebook, via Zoom, on YouTube and other forms of social media, to declare the mysteries of our God, and to pray for those who have been tireless in their care of others.
The churches within our Circuit have also been working hard to ensure that our churches can safely receive people to join us for worship, and by the grace of God, we want to welcome you to our worship services from 4 April 2021. Some of our churches will be open for personal prayer on Sunday mornings, and others for a shortened worship service of 30-40 minutes long.
Hand sanitizers will be available for you as you arrive and leave the church. Please bring along your mask. You may also want to bring along your bottled water and tissues if you need them. Seating within our churches will be socially-distanced, two-metres apart. Please allow the church steward to escort you to your seat – family groups will be seated together. At the end of the service please wait to be escorted safely, by the church steward.
It has been a turbulent year for millions of people across the globe, and we stand in prayerful solidarity with all those who are suffering loss and bereavement. We trust in a God who knows and sees the troubles of the poorest, and most disadvantaged. We trust in his Son Jesus Christ, who never turned anyone away. Please join with us, either in person, or on line, to hold our community and the world before God in or prayers.
The prayers of the Methodist Church is with everyone in our communities.
Please be in peace, and be blessed.
