New Life Church

New Life is a pentecostal church in North Lincolnshire committed to transforming people and places through the love and power of Jesus Christ. Centred in the urban population of Scunthorpe with a congregation of 250 people, newLife has small groups around the rural county and a deep commitment to bringing social and spiritual transformation wherever newLifers are active.

New Life has been affiliated with the Assemblies of God for most of its 90 year history yet has strong relationships with local churches across denominations working closely with them with regard to social transformation.

With a portfolio of community based intiatives for volunteers to be a part of, newLife employs most of its staff within two residential projects of a homeless hostel and a women's home. The former has housed over 1700 people since launching in 2007 and its site has expanded to include separate move-on accomodation, tenancy training courses and a lifeskill centre recently transformed into a family bank. The women's home is programme based and has helped women deal with life-controlling issues and find stability in life since its launch in 2010.

New Life's Leadership Team provides strong, clear frameworks but encourages creativity and innovation with a "let's try it and see" culture. OUr recent emphasis on newLIfe's ministry being "here, there and everywhere" celebrates the strength of scatteredness as well as the power of gatheredness.
