CLAAS is a Christian charity looking for an experienced fundraising officer, who has experience in raising funds for projects based overseas.
This will involve researching new funding opportunities, planning and writing to trusts, foundations and other organisations that could be interested in our projects, and liaising with and reporting to the donors.

Please note: this is a one-year fixed-term contract and applicants must be eligible to work in the UK

CLAAS’s mission is to help minorities communities who are suffering because of their faith in Pakistan, and work for women’s and children rights and for their development. We provide practical support and campaign internationally and locally for the abolishment or revision of unjust laws and policies that are ruining people’s lives.

Essential requirements

· At least 3 years experience raising funds for overseas projects.

· Track record in securing 6 figure funds

· Experience of, and ability to, prepare high-quality applications

· Experience of setting up and maintaining digital systems to record fundraising activity

· Understanding of how to develop compelling proposals, combined with the ability to demonstrate clear outcomes and impact

· Good understanding of where to source information on trusts and foundations, with the research skills to identify new funding opportunities

· Understanding of fundraising practices and standards

· Ability to write bids, applications and reports at the highest level, including proofreading skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships internally and externally

· Ability to interpret and analyse numerical and statistical data

· Ability to work independently and use your own initiative

· Proficient use of IT in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of fundraising CRM databases would be an advantage

· Capable of delivering results to tight deadlines and under pressure

· Strong attention to detail

Contract length: 11 months

Part-time hours: 22 per week
