New Team SCIO is a Christian street youth work charity alongside young people in Govan, Glasgow.  We aim to support social, emotional and spiritual development by empowering young people to: 

• Increase resilience: A positive relationship with one adult increases resilience. 
• Imagine and work towards a positive future.
• Strengthen relationships with adults in their communities.
• Serve and advocate for their communities.
• Increase knowledge of spiritual choices and make informed decisions.

We make connections with young people through detached work, then take them on short trips* to strengthen relationships and will soon develop other youth work activities. We are alongside and serve young people on the streets whether they are interested in finding out more about God or not. We make space for young people to ask us questions about what we believe.  

*Trips have been stopped during the pandemic due to the logistics of Covid-19 mitigations, but we hope to be able to restart these during 2022.
