Challenge Community Church is a welcoming, all age family made up of imperfect people passionately serving a perfect God.
The church was established over 25 years ago initially meeting in Community Centres and a local school before acquiring our own building in 2009.
We are passionate about reaching our local community with the gospel. We do this by meeting practical needs (providing food to those in need, a free debt advice service, gardening, youth activities, family events and much more) as a means of building relationships.
From our building we run Koffee & Kids (Mums & Tots group), Lifeline (Craft and Chat group), Coffee Morning (with Talk Community Hub and free legal advice surgery) Friday Family Fun (an evening of activities for youngsters and coffee, cake and chat for their parents) and a monthly Who Let The Dads Out group.
Sunday worship remains the focal point of our week. Services are informal, seeker friendly with bible teaching that has a clear application for our day to day living. Average attendance is circa 60 (and growing!) and our services are live streamed.
Our desire is that people BELONG to Challenge in order that they may hear the gospel and BELIEVE in Jesus as their personal Saviour as by doing so they will BECOME the person God always intended them to be.
Family is hugely important to us and much of what we do is an outworking of our Family Values that can be found on our website.
Theologically we ascribe to the Evangelical Alliance Statement of Faith.
