The Bield was set up in 1998 to be a Centre for Christian spirituality, retreat and healing in the widest sense of the word. The founders, Marianne and Robin Anker-Petersen have now retired and the Board of Directors are looking for a Chaplain, a person who can work hand in hand with the Chief Executive Officer and oversee the life of ministry, worship, prayer and retreats at The Bield. The Bield is steeped in the beautiful nature of the surrounding estate and over the decades has offered thousands of guests a body, mind and spirit approach to life and faith rooted in Christ. The art space and facilitator contribute much to the retreat experience of many guests’. Southton Smallholding, part of the Bield community, offers therapeutic horticultural employment within the wider local community.
