We became a registered charity in 2001 with the aim of delivering Christian youth and children's work in the district of Alnwick. We are predominantly funded by local churches, individuals and organisations. Many of our activities offer opportunities for communicating the Christian faith, but much of our work takes place within a secular context, so requires a sensitive and understanding nature.  Most of our work relies on a faithful team of volunteers who come from a wide variety of backgrounds and churches.

The objectives of the charity are detailed in the Declaration of Trust, but can be summarised in the following vision statement (adopted by Trustees in 2013):

• We believe that all young people should be encouraged to think about spiritual matters while recognising that they need the space to make their own choices as to what to believe.
• We desire to raise the aspirations of young people and facilitate their healthy and full development.
• We wish to help young people become active in the community and develop into mature and responsible citizens.
