Trinity Church is seeking to employ a full-time, lay, Associate Pastor to play an important part in creatively and boldly maximising our impact for God. We need a spirit-filled person who will help to lead our congregations in spiritual growth and play a key role in making Jesus known in our local neighbourhood.
Our existing Associate Pastor, who has been with us for four years, is moving overseas for family reasons. During his time with us, Trinity has been joined and blessed by a large community of believers from Hong Kong. In April 2025, we appointed an ordained Associate Minister, with responsibility for our Hong Kong ministry. The current post therefore reflects an evolving context that requires a flexible and adaptable approach. The primary focus will be on UK/ English speaking worship and ministry, but Trinity’s aim is for one integrated church where everyone seeks to fulfil a joint vision and share the same core values. There is also a strong emphasis for this post, as with our other key roles, to be neighbourhood facing and to work in partnership with other local churches.
Part of the focus of our current Associate Pastor has been on developing our youth work, and the new appointee may continue with this. However, we are also keen to develop our adult pastoral ministry, so we are open to appointing someone who would take a lead in this, (either as well as, or instead of, leading our youth work) - see our Overall Aims for the Post for more detail.
If you feel that God may be calling you and you are excited by our vision, we would love to hear from you. We want to be flexible in making this crucial role work really well, so if you would like an informal conversation please do get in touch.
For more information about the role, including a fuller job description and salary information, please contact Rev Jon Salmon (Jon.salmon@trinityearley.org.uk or 07840 494072. You can also check out our website – www.trinityearley.org.uk
The closing date is 27 January 2026. Applicants should submit a full cv with a covering letter summarising why they are interested in the post and what they would bring to Trinity.
