Located in the vibrant city of Brighton and Hove, Bishop Hannington is an evangelical church with a heart set on growing disciples of Christ in our city and for the world. At the centre of this sits our desire to spiritually equip young people by:
supporting them growing in their faith
empowering them to engage with church life
inspiring them to live out the Gospel in Brighton & Hove and beyond.
This is an exciting opportunity to build on the fruitful work already in place. Under the guidance of our Clergy team, the Head of Children's, Youth and Family Ministry will:
Lead a team of capable and willing volunteers to grow and shape a new direction for our thriving ministry with children and young people (0-18).
Have direct involvement with our young people’s groups, Rooted (11-14) and KO (14-18)
Seek to support parents and carers in the discipleship of their children
Working within a supportive staff team, the successful candidate will need to work well with others and seek to contribute to the wider life of the church. Active engagement with our developing Volunteer Strategy will be vital. This will involve having a leading role in recruiting, training and supporting volunteers and interns.
An understanding of strong safeguarding practice and an active commitment to the full implementation of the church’s Safeguarding Policy is essential.
Hours: 40 hours a week including Sundays.
Application Deadline: 9th February 2026
Interview date: Late February 2026
