Developing the ministry at Gorsley Baptist Church (GBC) for the 0-11’s and supporting the
transition into youth, and key transition periods. Working with an established volunteer
team, families, community groups, and engaging in a variety of events. Building connections
with the children and their parent/carers.
Currently we run three groups on a Sunday across 0-11’s, and during the week we run Acorn
stay and play, aimed at preschool aged children which we get about 40 children each week,
and we run Rooted, an afterschool space which we get about 50 children each week mostly
from the local primary school. As well as developing those connections within the local
primary, from supporting their assemblies, and seasonal services, and coaching via TLG.
It is important that the person who gets this role engages naturally with the wider church.
