Purpose of the Role To lead, oversee and develop Christ Church’s worship ministry, helping people encounter Jesus through sung worship, developing musicians and worship leaders, and building a healthy and creative culture of worship across the life of the church. Worship Ministry Role Lead worship regularly at Sunday services and other church events, including worship evenings, carol services and prayer events. Take overall responsibility, working closely with the Vicar, for developing the worship ministry, thinking strategically and creatively about how it can grow. Identify, encourage and equip musicians, singers and worship leaders, with particular attention to developing younger and emerging leaders. Saint Stephen’s Church, Middleton, Manchester is a small evangelical church with a long history of work and witness in the town. We are part of The Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion. We are a Christ centred congregation, with a vision for ‘Reaching the Community for Jesus Christ’, and a heart for sharing God’s love, and the saving message of the gospel with the area around the church and the town.   We are seeking a church Mission worker to assist us in our Mission. The position is part-time, up to 0.6 FTE and includes the use of a three bedroomed Manse.
