At Ainon Baptist Church, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Community and Family Engagement Worker to join our team. As a Bible-believing Christian community, it is a genuine occupational requirement that the successful applicant will share our Christian faith and be prepared to join and worship with our church congregation.   This role is pivotal in reaching out to the community, particularly in key growth areas such as young families, through building relationships, weekly groups, and organising events. You will have a passion for mission, family ministry, and a heart for community outreach and engaging with unbelievers in innovative ways, and the freedom to lead and build this ministry.  

Developing the ministry at Gorsley Baptist Church (GBC) for the 11- early 20s and supporting the transition from Children’s work into and youth, working with the children’s worker. Working with an established volunteer team, families, community groups, and engaging in a variety of events. Building connections with the youth and their parent/carers. Currently we run two groups on a Sunday across 11-18’s, one of the groups helping transition those in the youth group into main services and serving on teams. During the week we run a youth club, for about 20 young people.  It is important that the person who gets this role engages naturally with the wider church. Full job description attached.
