Canford Magna Parish Church is excited to be creating a new staff role, focusing on families and children in our vicinity, and particularly outreach to our local area, which includes a brand-new housing development on our doorstep. This is a part time role, initially planned to be 24 hours per week, but with potential for this to increase in the future. This is initially a three-year contract.

This role oversees Wycliffe’s ministry with 8-13s, helping them explore faith in Jesus together and planning for successful transition from children’s ministry into youth ministry. This is about creating a fun, welcoming and safe space to belong, learning to be church together and grow in confidence to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with their friends.   

This fully funded role is an exciting opportunity to develop and grow the children’s and youth ministry at St Lawrence’s, Hungerford and to connect with the young people of our town, through our schools and in our community. Redefining the post of Children and Youth Minister is part of our vision to share the good news of Jesus with our local community and become a church where everyone feels at home as the family of God, covering all ages.
