We are looking for someone with a passion for working with children and families, and teaching them about the love of Christ, enabling them to grow in discipleship and become more involved in the life of the Church. Developing the ministry at Gorsley Baptist Church (GBC) for the 11- early 20s and supporting the transition from Children’s work into and youth, working with the children’s worker. Working with an established volunteer team, families, community groups, and engaging in a variety of events. Building connections with the youth and their parent/carers. Currently we run two groups on a Sunday across 11-18’s, one of the groups helping transition those in the youth group into main services and serving on teams. During the week we run a youth club, for about 20 young people.  It is important that the person who gets this role engages naturally with the wider church. Full job description attached.
