This is a position for an enthusiastic follower of Jesus to inspire and challenge the members of Velmore Church to grow in their love for God through faith in the Lord Jesus and in the power of the Holy Spirit.  He would also work alongside the church to use existing links with our local community and develop new ones, so that our local friends may come to know and love the Lord Jesus for themselves.  In essence, the role is to work out in practical terms our church mission statement: “To know Jesus and to make him known.” The pastor will also be a shepherd alongside the leadership team, loving, guiding and caring for the people in the church and community. 

An exciting opportunity for someone passionate about helping children to discover God’s love for them.   We are a lively and family-friendly church with great teams that help run Messy Church, Play Café, Holiday club and much more. The successful applicant will work with children 0-11 years in our church and local schools, building on established children’s and families’ work and developing closer links in the community. You will be part of a supportive staff team who encourage each other and will manage and lead teams of committed volunteers. Training can be provided.
