Songs of Life (Caneuon Bywyd) is a Methodist initiative in North Wales that seeks to create new Christian communities among people who may feel on the margins of society. Rooted in Bangor, Llandudno, and Connah’s Quay, the project will use music, poetry, and storytelling as a creative and accessible way to bring people together, build relationships, and explore faith. Methodists Cymru is seeking to employ a Faith and Community Worker to lead this project. This will involve making connections with people in each location, using the performing arts as a means of starting conversations about faith. Monthly community gatherings will take the form of an open-mic night, hosted by the Faith and Community Worker. As relationships develop, this role will involve creating new opportunities for intentionally sharing faith, whilst recognising that the rhythm of the community will remain grounded in the regular hospitality of the monthly gathering.
