Perform preventative maintenance of medical
equipment as directed by the Senior Biomedical
Technician. Types of equipment on board are:
Anesthetic systems, ventilators, CR X-ray, CT,
Ultrasound imaging, OR and Ward equipment, YAG
lasers and ophthalmic devices, autoclaves, oil-free
compressors, dental suites and generators up to 35KVA.
May be expected to live off ship in team house and
spend approximately 2-3 days per week training local
biomedical technicians in local hospitals and the
remainder of the time assisting ship biomedical
technicians.
