Ribble are supporting a Hospice in your area. You will be working within an inpatient palliative care unit, you will encounter a broad range of conditions and symptoms, offering a unique opportunity to expand your clinical knowledge and experience.
You will be part of a committed 24/7 service and will work a fully rotational shift pattern including earlys, lates, long days, nights and weekends.
As a key member of the MDT, you’ll collaborate closely with doctors, therapists, volunteers and support staff, ensuring every patient receives truly holistic care.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality, individualised clinical care using evidence-based practice
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient
• Provide leadership, support and supervision to junior staff
• Ensure safe, effective and compassionate care throughout the patient journey
• Contribute to smooth admission and discharge processes
• Maintain accurate and accessible documentation
• Uphold the dignity, rights and autonomy of every patient
About You
You are an empathetic, skilled and motivated Registered Nurse with a genuine passion for improving the lives of those with life-limiting conditions. You may already have experience in palliative care, hospice care, oncology or a high-dependency setting, or you may be looking to take the next step into a deeply rewarding specialty.
You will bring a commitment to person-centred care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work sensitively with patients and families during emotionally challenging times.
Essential Criteria
• NMC Registered Nurse
• Experience delivering inclusive, person-centred care
• Ability to assess, plan and deliver care with appropriate adjustments
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Commitment to high-quality, dignified care
Desirable Criteria
• Experience in palliative or end-of-life care
• Mentorship qualification or experience supporting learners
