Mental Health Support Worker (Ad Hoc / Bank) * Supported Accommodation – Complex Mental Health * Leeds (LS15) * £18.04 Umbrella | Sleep-in £60.00 per shift * Ad Hoc / Bank Shifts – Flexible Hours Are you experienced in supporting individuals with complex mental health needs? Looking for flexible, ad hoc work within a supported accommodation setting? Client Snapshot: An opportunity has arisen with a specialist supported accommodation service in Leeds, supporting individuals transitioning from hospital settings under Delayed Transfer of Care pathways. The service works with adults experiencing complex and enduring mental health conditions, including: Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) Psychotic disorders Schizophrenia Co-occurring and complex needs The aim is to support residents in stabilisation and gradual transition back into the community. Vacancy Brief: * Mental Health Support Worker – based at one project in Leeds (LS15) * Pay Rate: £14.00 PAYE or £18.04 Umbrella and £60.00 per Sleep-In. * Ad hoc / bank shifts (including weekends and sleep-ins) * Long shifts with sleep-in included Typical Shift Pattern: * Weekday: 13:00 – 22:00 | Sleep-in | 08:00 – 10:30 * Weekend: 13:00 – 22:00 | Sleep-in | 08:00 – 13:30 * Lone working required * Enhanced DBS (Adult Workforce) essential The Responsibilities: * Supporting residents with complex mental health needs in a structured setting * Assisting with medication processes (following training and protocols) * Promoting recovery, independence, and emotional wellbeing * Supporting service users transitioning from hospital into the community * Managing risk and responding to crisis situations appropriately * Completing accurate records, handovers, and incident reports * Working in partnership with healthcare professionals and wider services * Maintaining professional boundaries within a therapeutic environment Mandatory Training Required: * Safeguarding (Adults) * Medication Administration * GDPR & Information Governance * Fire Safety * Equality & Diversity Desirable Training: * First Aid * Basic Life Support (Adults & Children) Skills and Attributes: Experience within mental health or healthcare settings (preferred over housing-only backgrounds) Confident supporting individuals with complex and high-risk presentations Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management Calm, resilient, and emotionally intelligent Ability to work independently and within a team Flexible and reliable for ad hoc shift coverage Keywords for Candidates: Mental Health Support Worker – Healthcare Assistant – Complex Needs – EUPD – Schizophrenia – Psychosis – Supported Accommodation – Ad Hoc – Bank Shifts – Sleep-ins – Safeguarding – Medication – Leeds – West Yorkshire – Recovery Support – Social Care – NHS Pathways
