£12.21 per hour (PAYE)
£16.00 per hour (Umbrella)
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join a dedicated homeless service in Coventry. This role will begin on an adhoc basis, offering flexible shifts, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time position of 40 hours per week.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them access essential services, sustain accommodation, and work towards independence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centred support to service users
Assist with daily living tasks and promote independent living skills
Support individuals in accessing external services (healthcare, housing, employment, etc.)
Maintain accurate records and update support plans
Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
Respond effectively to challenging situations and behaviours
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar support role (preferred but not essential)
A caring, patient, and non-judgemental approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service check) is essential
