Mitcham Lane Baptist Church is seeking a passionate Youth and Community Worker to pioneer and develop faith-based youth work with 11–18s in Furzedown, South London. This exciting role combines outreach, discipleship and community engagement, offering the opportunity to shape vibrant, inclusive youth programmes that support young people’s emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing and help them explore the Christian faith. Developing the ministry at Gorsley Baptist Church (GBC) for the 11- early 20s and supporting the transition from Children’s work into and youth, working with the children’s worker. Working with an established volunteer team, families, community groups, and engaging in a variety of events. Building connections with the youth and their parent/carers. Currently we run two groups on a Sunday across 11-18’s, one of the groups helping transition those in the youth group into main services and serving on teams.
